Detox Salad
This salad is perfect for those days when you want something healthier or if you are starting a new eating regime. Packed with detoxing foods to eliminate inflammation and regulate the body.
Ingredients
- 2 cups kale or other greens, chopped
- ½ carrot, sliced into ribbons withpeeler
- ½ red pepper, sliced
- ½ cup cup blueberries
- ½ cup cup fresh parsley, chopped
- ½ cup cup chopped walnuts
Dressing
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1 tsp raw honey (or maple syrup)
- Juice from 1 lemon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Combine salad ingredients into a bowl.
- Whisk together dressing ingredients and pour over top.
Notes
Note: Only add protein if you are not detoxing.
