Annie’s Gluten-Free Bakery products are Certified Gluten-Free by the Gluten-Free Food Program since 2020 and endorsed by the National Celiac Association.

After years spent as a newspaper publisher, graphic designer, and marketing professional, I decided to pursue my passion — gluten-free baking! Inspired by an article I read in “Edible Boston” magazine, I quit my job, went to culinary school at Boston University, and started a new business.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease over twenty years ago. Back then it was almost impossible to find good gluten-free baked goods. It was self-preservation that led me to come up with delicious gluten-free recipes that didn’t taste or feel like I was eating cardboard. In 2009 I started baking in my home and selling at farmer’s markets. That evolved into Annie’s Gluten-Free Bakery, in a dedicated gluten-free commercial kitchen in an old mill building in Shirley, MA. It is a wholesale bakery, selling to a variety of stores and restaurants, or you can place orders online.
